REVIEW: Mikkeller Mexas Ranger
So far this week I've looked at a stout brewed with Oranges, a Belgian ale brewed with Sea Salt. Neither of those beers have anything on the wild ingredients used in this brew. Mikkeller, who we've looked at before, are no strangers to pushing the boundaries, but Mexas Ranger is most definitely the most daring of their beers that I have had the pleasure to enjoy. Mexas Ranger is brewed with spices, almond milk, cocoa, chilies, black beans, avocado leaves and is then aged in tequila barrels! I couldn't look myself in the mirror if I left that beer on the shelves. I just wish I had some tacos to go along with it! To the beer!

REVIEW: Evil Twin The Talented Mr. Orangutan
So, let's be honest with ourselves. Beer is the last thing on anybody's mind today is beer, unless that beer is being enjoyed in the Moon Deck. But I've still got a to put a post up today, and since I lacked the foresight to talk about anything baseball or Cincinnati related we're going with something completely different. I found myself at the Party Source the other day and I found myself drawn to some of the odder European brews. This one absolutely jumped off the shelves. An orangutan! I mean come on! I love apes. But anyway, Evil Twin is a gypsy brewery, much in the same vein as Mikkeller, who we've looked at a few times on here. And The Talented Mr. Orangutan (What a fabulous name, right?) is an orange stout. Sounds intriguing enough for me. To the beer!

REVIEW: Stillwater Artisanal As Follows
So today's beer is something a little bit different. I have no idea what it is. I was at the party source in Bellvue last week looking for an interesting beer to talk about and this wild looking label caught my eye. Now I remember having heard of Stillwater Artisanal at some point but I've never actually had one of their beers. I'm not sure where they're from, what their reputation is, or what their approach to brewing is. It doesn't even mention on the label what style this beer even is. I also didn't notice until after I had poured it that the ABV was mentioned on the label. This is all a long way of saying that I have no idea of what to expect when I pop the cap off of this beer. I don't know if it's a lager, a stout, a lambic, or something in between. I don't know If Stillwater is known for brewing good beer or junk. All I know is that the bottle bills this beer as 'an eschatological ale.' Whatever that's supposed to mean. This is as close to a blind taste test as I've ever done on the blog. This is kind of exciting. To the beer!
