REVIEW: Brooklyn Lager

Alright, better late than never right? So, today we've got a dry hopped Vienna lager in a 16 oz can from Brooklyn. This sounds like a winning recipe. I don't really have a ton to add here! To the beer!

Brooklyn Lager pours an effervescent golden red topped by a thick layer of resilient white head.

On the aromas a subtle caramel malt and a touch of toffee is contrasted by an interesting faint, earthy, peppery, slightly fruity hop character. Notes of apple, pear, and lemon, add a nice complexity to a subtle understated nose. Very nice.

On the palate Brooklyn Lager is pretty light with a nice creaminess, eminently drinkable. A punchy, lively, yet ultimately, pretty modest bitterness brings with it subtle fruit flavors of pear and grape and a dry, understated crackery malt.

Brooklyn Lager, is a very simple, very drinkable, very delicious, very enjoyable beer. They can't all be huge imperials. Every so often, honestly, more than often, a well constructed, simple, sessionable lager is what really hits the spot. Now is one of those times.
