REVIEW: Rising Tide Daymark

One last beer from Trey before I get back to those last couple Canadian beers. Then it's back to the liquor store. Goodness, It's been a while. But anyway, today I've got a rye pale ale called Daymark from Rising Tide out of Portland, Maine. Boy, I really like that label. It's tough to get yellow and white to work together well, but it works here. Sharp stuff. To the beer!

Daymark pours a hazed over yellowish gold underneath a thick layer of resilient, finely bubbled head.

Spicy rye aromas are joined by robust hop notes pine and a bit of citrusy lemon. Contrasting the hops is a slightly sweet kind of biscuity malt.

Daymark is medium in body with quite the nice creaminess. It's awfully spicy, both in terms of rye and hop flavor. Fruity flavors of white grape and a touch of lemon add up to a very crisp, very clean, very drinkable beer.

Once again, I owe a huge thank you to my buddy, Trey. Anytime you head out of town again, feel free to bring back more beer!
